Why should you print t-shirts with Dinschrift?

Custom t-shirt Print

With custom t-shirt printing, t-shirts are specifically printed with your own motifs, graphics, text or images. This allows individuals, companies and organizations to give free rein to their creativity, promote their brand promote their brand, commemorate events or convey messages on t-shirts. In contrast to anonymous mass-produced off-the-peg items, these are therefore individually printed textiles, whether it is a one-off or larger productions such as for festivals, merchandising or sporting events. The print orders we receive every day are correspondingly diverse.

The following is a brief overview of this topic. With so many options to choose from, it can be a little difficult at first to decide where to start, whether it`s choosing the right garment and the right color or designing the print motif.

We will try to guide you through this process below and give you a few tips.

Choose the right textile

We have a relatively extensive range of printable items. In addition to the classic t-shirts in various cuts and colors, we print sweatshirts, hoodies, jackets, polo shirts, pants and shorts, children`s clothing and accessories such as tote bags and gym bags.

If it is a one-off event or a more functional use such as helper clothing, a cheaper essential model such as the t-shirt model Rocker is often a good choice. For retail quality for sale in your store, items from the Iconic range with a longer lifespan are suitable.

How to get the best out of your design

To get the best out of your t-shirt design, you should consider a few important factors. Ultimately, the end product should look good and fulfill its intended purpose. Here are some tips that can help you achieve a successful t-shirt design.
  • Understand your audience: Know your target audience and take their preferences and interests into account when designing. Consider factors such as age, gender, style and the message you want to convey.
  • Simplicity is key: Keep your design simple and uncluttered. Avoid overly complex or complicated designs as they are difficult to print and may not look as appealing on a t-shirt.
  • Use high-quality graphics: Make sure that the graphics, images or illustrations you use are of high quality and resolution. Low-resolution graphics may appear blurred or pixelated when printed.
  • Consider the t-shirt color: Choose a t-shirt color that matches your design. The contrast between the design and the color of the t-shirt should be visually appealing and highlight the design.
  • Placement matters: Think about where you want to place your design on the t-shirt. The front, back and sleeves are common options. Make sure that the placement matches the message or motif.
  • Typography and fonts: If your design includes text, choose appropriate fonts that match the style of your message. Pay attention to font size and spacing for good readability.
  • Color selection: Choose a color scheme that works well with your design and the t-shirt. Consider the emotions and associations that different colors convey.
  • Mock-up and proofing: Use our online designer and proofing tool to get an idea of how your design will look on a t-shirt before printing. This allows you to make adjustments and ensure that the end product meets your expectations.
  • Test print: Order a single printed sample of your design before placing a large order. This will allow you to check the colors, placement and overall quality.
  • Consider the fabric: Think about the type of fabric the t-shirt is made from, as it can affect the look and feel of your design. Designs can look different on different fabrics.
  • Legal considerations: Make sure your design does not infringe copyright or trademark law. If you use logos or copyrighted material, obtain the appropriate permissions.
  • Think about quantity: Determine the quantity of t-shirts you need as this can affect the cost and printing process. Consider ordering samples before committing to a large print run.
  • Mark up your t-shirts: If your t-shirts are for promotional purposes, you should include your logo, website or social media information to promote your brand or cause.

Why we print with DTG

After many years of printing textiles with screen printing, we have been convinced of the advantages of direct-to-garment printing and still are today.

Complexity without complexity: Multi-colored motifs including shading and gradients can be implemented in detail - without screening and without creating expensive films and screens. This makes it possible to create individual items, small runs and realistic sample t-shirts that actually correspond to large-scale production.

Environment: Screen printing still mainly uses plastisol ink, which contains PVC and sometimes even phthalates, which in turn end up in the groundwater. Then there are the chemicals for coating and cleaning the screens. All of this is eliminated with DTG printing: our water-based ink is certified in accordance with the Oeko-Tex standard.

Experience: As with any other printing technology, sufficient know-how and experience are important for good printing results with DTG. We have been printing with this method since 2012 and have been able to continuously improve and optimize our production process ever since.

Our production process is tailored to these textiles in terms of print results and washability. For this reason, we always offer the textile and not just the print, as this is the only way we can guarantee the best quality. For large print runs, we can also offer you textiles from other selected manufacturers that correspond to our values. In this case, however, the textiles are also supplied by us.

Innovation

What could be innovative about t-shirt printing? First of all, innovation starts with our supplier, who has decided to use only the highest quality raw materials and to reduce the ecological footprint of the entire production process. Even the choice of cotton fibers determines how durable a garment is and, together with the further processing steps, how it feels and how well it can be printed. For the latest collection, which will set new standards, we spent two years researching this.

We are constantly improving the efficiency of our production in Zurich. By automating our processes and using modern printing machines with environmentally friendly printing inks that are safe for our employees and our customers
